Linux with 64MB of SIMM RAM

I recently salvaged a bunch of old computers and put together a somehwat useable one. Its a Pentium 200MHz 64 MB RAM 2x2.1GB HDDs. I've been trying to install any version of linux that is somewhat friendly to newer users. Ive used Fedora Core 6 and Knoppix for school so i know somewhat how things work. All I want to know is a version of linux that will work on this PC. I've tried installing Peanut Linux in text mode but it stops and says something like "Not enough memory and no killiable processes." I was thinking about using Damn Small Linux but saw that it requires 128 MB of RAM. Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance,
SpikePheratu

Damn Small doesn't take 128MB of RAM. It runs on 16MB, but will run fully from RAM (i.e. no reading the CD) with 128MB.

Personally, I like Debian. It can run on that kind of hardware. I would do a bare netinstall and then build what you need. Pick a light window manager like icewm (instead of KDE or Gnome) and choose light applications (i.e. stay away from OpenOffice).

Go to http://distrowatch.com/search.php , select 'Old Computers' and submit the query.

Vector Linux is the last of the 17 hits, has been around for a while, and seems to get good reviews.
