Linux vnc server does not always allow windows users to use the numeric keypad.

I am using FC8 on my server with the vnc server running. When I connect from several different windows computers running XP pro, the numeric key pad works on some, the 5 key does not work on some and on some the key pad is completely inoperative. Is there some kind of configuration which needs to be done to make all of the key pads work consistently?

I have used realvnc and tightvmc viewers and neither seems to work consistently.

Thanks for any help.

God Bless,
