Hey,

I have just recently moved from suse to kubuntu when i got a new pc, and the old suse box is now a server.

My sister is still using windows xp on her pc, and she is getting virus's and spyware on it. I was looking for a virus scanner that would be able to scan the networked windows box, either from my suse server, preferably, or my kubuntu desktop. Because i can never get on my sisters pc.

Also what would be the chances of a windows virus sitting on my network, linux or windows, and then spreading to any windows, or linux, based machine when plugged into the network? Just to save me from spreading the viruss on further.

I have moved this to Software... Install ClamAV - all virus scanners installed in Linux are for the benefit of Windows clients, so that we don't pass them on while being unaffected.

I THINK as long as you can access the files any of the virus scanners can scan it. I like clamav too.
