linux to win98

I have a PC that had previously been loaded with various linux distributions. The problem is in its current state whenever it is booted up there is a message saying "GRUB loading". I have a copy of windows 98, which I would like to load up onto this machine. How do I go about wiping the computer clean to install 98? Any help would be appreciated.

If I remember correctly, win98 will give you the option of formatting the entire hard drive. That will wipe out Linux.

You shouldn't need to wipe the disk. The W98 installation should do everything required.

Put W98 CD in, make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD drive, follow on-screen instructions MS is giving to you.

Edit: 2 min, two posts...

update

I did set it up to boot from CD, but it is not recognizing the CD.
It gives the message "Boot from CD: Error" or something like that.

Then something is wrong with your CD drive or CD. Still has nothing to do with Linux.
