Linux Terminal Session Time Out


Hey guyz,

I am using a putty terminal.. but if the terminal is idle for like 5 min
how do i set it to time out?

The timeout value can't be set on per application or per session basis i guess...

In the .bash_profile file of the user append the following :
Quote:
TMOUT=600
export TMOUT
TMOUT value is in seconds.
