Red face linux server with PHP issues

Hey Guys,

We have a red hat prod server and the admin had installed a latest version of php in /usr/local/apache/php/ .. (i am a newbie but the compliation path indicates this)

we have a dev server of the above prod server with the same settings and is a mirror.

Now when i put in php -i in the prod server i can the settings listed but then i type in the same php -i on dev server i can the settings in html format listed instead of the listed format as seen on the prod server.

why the difference. also on prod server a sample phpinfo() file out puts server complied on nov 25th 2008 but php -i says it complied on nov 10th 2007 !!

do u guys know whats going on?

please assist

thanks
rj
