Linux R.H 7.3 boot disk
I just installed R.H 7.3 on my hard drive that already had Win NT and Win2000 installed on it. Now when I log out or shut down I'm automatically rebooted to Linux. I did not create a boot disk during installation and was told by a classmate that if I make a boot disk it would fix the problem. Is this true and if so how do I make a boot disk using R.H. 7.3?

Did you installed any boot loaders? GRUB or LILO?
yes LILO
While in linux you post your /etc/lilo.conf
can that be done through the GNOME terminal?
yep, or you can open it in gedit.
and to keep you busy take a look at couple of howtos for dual booting NT and linux:
NT and linux on separate drives: http://www.frankenlinux.com/guides/dualboot-nt.html NT and linux general (and I believe it describes your situation) http://www.computing.net/howto/advanced/linuxnt/ |
thanks for your help
