Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

(New Member, Seattle WA, lots of experience with the MS server and desktop platforms and networking (Cisco Routers) some with Linux and gaining more with Nitix)
I am working with a Nitix Box and get an error "Bus Error Core Dumped". It is running Nitix but hoping that some of you may have ran into in on another version on Linux.
Basically what it does is the Nitix server will throw that error (I have a video card hooked in to it, you have to work on it over a web interface) and it will hang up for a second, throw the error on the text based screen I have hooked to the server and then come back.
I have traced it to MySQL which seems like it could be causing the error, its running a program which accesses the MySQL database. It had a drive going bad but I replaced it and it still has the error.
And like always I work on a couple of these at work (i know a lot as far as config issues) along with the MS servers so any questions feel free to email me or post.
