Linux Power management
Hi All,
For ARM Cortex-A9, should we require ACPI drivers for Linux Power management. Thanks & Regards, Siva Krishna. |

YOU are the one writing the software/drivers for this hardware, so YOU are the one who needs to determine if ACPI is needed/desired, based on what you're trying to do. Best guess would be 'yes', but you don't say what your goals are, or what you're trying to do. |
Hai TBOne
I am working on asiic design company...so right now we are Desiging ARM Cortex-A9 Dual core processor. In that i am working on Power Management. So for that reason i am posting some questions in this forum. For ACPI Drivers how should we check hardware manual, because ACPI drivers are kernel related, so how we check these drivers with hardware manual. As per i know acpi drivers related intel architecture. I am not sure for ARM architecture, so for that reason i asked this question. so please clarify regarding this. Thanks & Regards, Siva Krishna. |
You can post the same ACPI/Power mangement question in the linux kernel mailing list at https://lkml.org/.
