linux on Compaq SR 1000T ?

I'm planning to buy SR 1000T compaq desktop. This desktop is newest
model from compaq. I want to make sure whether I can install Linux
on this computer or not.

Are there any specific specifications I should look for ?

Appreciate your advice.

I looked at the system specs right now. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run a Linux system on it. The only unusual thing is the micro-ATX form factor and the Intel i848 chipset. I don't know anybody who uses this, but I'm sure it must be supported by recent kernels. I envy you the 1Mb-cache Prescott CPU. I want it.
