Linux Network Freezes for a moment
I've narrowed down my Samba problem. The original problem was that Samba had horrible transfer times, and the network connection would randomly get lost. Now, I've come to realize that it's actually the whole networking system that gets shut down. I'll be working on my desktop, and I'll go to save a file that's stored on my server (which is the one having the problems), and it'll say it had a problem saving the file. I'll try to open a web browser to view the currenty webpages on the server and it'll get no response. A minute or so later, and everything will be back to normal.
I know it's not the network card, as I've used 3 different ones. Could it possibly be the cable or the hub? Or is there something in linux that isn't configured right?
