Talking Linux init noob question


Just wondering if your guys can point me to some tutorials for starting programs in init ie. adsl-start, gkrellm in X and portsentry.One more thing i am using slackware(Bsd style rc)

Did you try taking a look at the linux documentation project at www.tldp.org? You may find some docs there. It is very discriptive on many things. Also, I'm not sure if you may know about using the man pages that comes with linux. Type man [thing you want to look up]. For example: man rpm. Hope I helped some. Good luck!
