[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi,

Im using Debian Etch.

Code:
$uname gives me 2.26.3
I searched for 10+ hours and couldn't find the bloody headers anywhere.

Code:
$apt-get install linux-headers-'uname -r'
Doesn't find them

Code:
abc123:~# apt-get install linux-headers

You should explicitly select one to install.
E: Package linux-headers has no installation candidate
Code:
 cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian etch main

deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib

deb http://ftp.uni-kl.de/debian-multimedia/ stable main

deb http://www.backports.org/debian etch-backports main contrib non-free
Main reason behind this is running a virtual os.

QEMU was a worthless piece of crap.
VMWare and Virtualbox need the headers.

Please Help me find the headers or should i upgrade kernel or downgrade please advice .

Thanks
