Question Linux Games for F17? are they just too old or....

I just tried 2 different games on my newly installed F17 X86_64 machine, Alien Arena and Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory. The H/W of this computer ain't much to talk about, I just wanna try the games out.

They both need i686 stuff like devel, lib etc and I tried that on my F16 machine and that kinda sc**wed it up.
Are these games so old that they can't be played on a 64bit PC? or am I totally missing something here?
Can't recall which one but one of them had a new release out this year.

"What's up with that" (taken from TBBT )

*so now what am I gonna do this Friday evening *

If the games need 32 bit libraries they will not run on a pure 64bit installation. You'd have to install the 32 bit libraries and such. Or run 32 bit OS.

OK, but did I do something wrong on my F16 machine since that one started to get weird after I installed all those?
