Linux games
 

Excuse me, but anyone knows about some linux games downloadable in ISO format (not Tux Racer, please)? Anyone knows anything about Loki games; if Loki is closed, can we download its games?
If someone knows anything also about games as Return To Castle Wolfenstein, which was released as linux executable by Id Software.

I think you can d/l demos, but now that Loki is closed I am not sure where. Maybe from www.tucows.com As for them just going bawls out and releasing the full games for free, I don't think that has been the case. Yet.

Nothing wrong with Tux Racer, but, really, it's not an high level game as some Windows beauty, original, but nothing irresistible.
So, if Loki has closed, why we can't download its more old games??? Or AT LEAST some sort of installer to play with Windows version cd, as for Unreal Tournament and Castle Wolfwnstein.

There are a few ftp sites listed there where you can get the demos from. But there are actually still people selling the games, so I don't see why they would allow them to be d/l for free. The company probably is going to continue to sell the games they have released, or something like that, but just won't be producing any more games. I don't know that for sure, but that would make a little bit of business sense.

As for an installer, you could check out vmware, or WineX which is supposed to be better at porting the games than straight wine. Plus if you actually have some of the games, you can d/l (d/l = download) a patch for some of them to work in Linux. Check out www.freshmeat.net and try plugging in a few names, you might find some.
