Linux filesystem on a flash rom

Hi folks,
I have a problem where i need to boot up an embedded system from a flash ROM. The memory capacity of the ROM is 256 MB.I also have a distribution of RTLinux with me.I don't know how to proceed with this.Kindly tell me how to go about this or suggest some websites that would help me in getting this done.

Thanking you all for your help,

Sincereley ,

Kimberly John

Putting this into a google search engine

boot linux from flash +rom

produced one hundred and fourteen THOUSAND returns.
To me, what you are trying to do sounds very weird indeed. I am obviously in the minority. Most of the site on the first page seems to provide the answers to your problem.
