linux codec packs

Hello all.

I would really like to watch videos on my fedora 4 box, but unfortunately I found I don't have codecs for most formats (avi, mpg, wmv, etc...)!

Fedora 4 comes with totem as the default player and helix media player as you pobably now!

My question is:

Where can I find a compreensive rpm codec pack to sort this out!

Yes I have googled for it but I keep on getting dependency errors!

Yes I am a noob!

Pardon me for my english in advance

Best regards

A

Check at FC4 website or fedora forums for video/multimedia rpms. In Debian/SW w32codecs or essential codecs from Mplayer website are needed. So similarly named rpm pkg would be used in FC4. You may also need libdvdread,libdvdcss2,libdvdnav,libdvdplay or somesuch. Good luck.
