Linux AND Windows monitoring software

Assuming cost is not object, can anyone recommend the best software for monitoring Linux AND Win2k servers/workstations? I'm interested in both network AND system monitoring capabilities.

Thanks.

"monitoring" is a pretty broad term... could you be a little more specific??

also, are you asking for two different programs, or do you want ONE that runs on both platforms??

IBM's tivoli
Novell's ZENworks
Candle's patrol
HP's openview
to name just a few ...

Monitoring to mean the following:

Monitor system resources & network devices, to detect bottlenecks and potential problems.
Information on the hardware, software and network devices/topology.
Contact notification support.

I would like a single app to provide monitoring for both platforms.
