Linux and TV


A friend of mine told me there are two good builds of Linux for recording TV playing old Nintendo games and stuff like that. I can't remember the two he told me were good. Any help

Probably mandrake and redhat, but any of them should work fine, I'd start with the one at the top of my list first, then move down:
redhat
mandrake
debian
suse
gentoo
knoppix
slackware
turbolinux
caldera
sco
lindows
connectiva
LFS
tomsrtb

If you're looking for packages you might want to check out MythTV and Freevo.

From what I have seen in the forums a lot of people have had good success with Gentoo and Mandrake for out-of-the-box multimedia capabilities.
