Hello...I installed a few days ago the Suse 10 linux version on Kde. I have the azureus torrent client.I'm behind a router(US Robotics 9108) with hardware firewall and all the nesessairy ports open.In azureus i use the 49034 port or the 52485 but althought whent i test the port the azureus says it is OK...It never downloads anything with any torrent.I have tryied a few different torrents and nothing.It downloads for a few seconds with 250 B/s (i have aDSL384-128) and it downloads in bytes and only for a few seconds...then it stop and nothing more...PLEASE HELP!!!

check your iptables (the firewall that came with linux) make sure that it isn't blocking those ports locally.

the firewall that came with the linux is disabled...so i don't think it may be blocking any ports...what else can i do?thx

I had a problem with azureus a long time ago. something to do with the firewall. all i did to solve it was :


/sbin/ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1
/sbin/route add -net 127.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 lo

everytime before i opened azureus.
