Unhappy Linphone, libosip2 in Fedora

Hi,

I'm trying to install Linphone on my Fedora 12.
I installed the OSIP 2 but yet when I run ./configure to install linphone it says that the osip2 library isn't installed.

The following should explain the situ:
checking for OSIP... no
checking osip2/osip.h usability... yes
checking osip2/osip.h presence... yes
checking for osip2/osip.h... yes
checking for osip_init in -losip2... no
configure: error: Could not find osip2 library !

But when I search for the osip2 library, it says installed,
[root@kirthevasan linphone-3.4.1]# yum search osip2
Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
========================================================================== Matched: osip2 ===========================================================================
libeXosip2.i686 : A library that hides the complexity of using the SIP protocol
libeXosip2.x86_64 : A library that hides the complexity of using the SIP protocol
libeXosip2-devel.i686 : Development files for libeXosip2

libosip2.x86_64 : oSIP is an implementation of SIP
libosip2-devel.i686 : Development libraries for oSIP
libosip2-devel.x86_64 : Development libraries for oSIP

Please explain what the issue is and if possible provide a solution.

thanks

"configure" looks for libosip2.so, provided by 'libosip2-devel'.

'libosip2-devel' also includes all other files required for compiling e.g. linphone.
( /usr/include/osip2/osip*, /usr/include/osipparser2/headers/osip*.)

The package 'libosip2' is the run time libraries only.
