I am trying to install ns2 on AMD-64, apparently it fails to link with the X11 libraries (even though it finds -->X11.so and libX11.a yet rejects them as incompatible...). Any idea as to how I can get it work?
Yes I have also included it in my PATH variable and also 'modified' the path to the 64 bit libraries i.e usr/X11R6/lib64 (from 32 bit libraries /usr/X11R6/lib) in the make file (after running configure so that the change to makefile is not reset) (using 64 bit libraries instead of the default 32 bit ones is specified for the 64 bit platform); Apparently it finds the 64 bit libraries in the specified folder but still rejects them as incompatible.
