Limiting gqview browsing?

I'd like to set up gqview so that I can only browse the user's /home/*user* directory. However, I'd also like to be able to throw a flag so that I can browse /usr as well. What I'm imagining is that the directory tree window only shows /home/*user* and /usr, so all other directories are hidden. Anyone know if this is possible?
