i installed linux redhat 7.0 kernel 2.2.4 - 16 .When i run /sbin/lilo to update my kernel. I got this message.

Warning: Device 0x0307 exceeds cyclinder limit
Fatal : Sector 25267672 too large for linear mode (try 'lba32')

my harddisk size is 10gb on a dell notebook
I try to install linux distro on the same hdd so many times( more then 10) format and install... everytime i will recieve the same message except for the number. Can anyone tel me how to fix it ?

take a look at this: http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Large-Disk-HOWTO-5.html
it explains the lba32 for you... should point you in the right direction to get that worked around for you.

you need to add lba32 to the first line of your lilo.conf file in order get around this.

Here's a search on this forum for 'lilo and/or mbr'.
