LILO/GRUB for dual booting Gentoo and Debian.

hi all,
I am installing Gentoo on my second hard drive.I already have a Debian installation on my first hard drive(which i love BTW).
I wanted to learn how to be able to dual boot two distro's from LILO(which is the bootloader i use now) or Grub.
I have tried many times but always in vain.I have also searched quiet a bit but due to my limited googling skills...never really came up with much.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me.
Code:
 #
              #  global options:
              boot=/dev/hda
              prompt
              timeout=150
              lba32
              install=/boot/boot-menu.b
              vga=normal
              root=/dev/hdb2
              map=/boot/map
              read-only
              default=apt_install
              #
              #  bootable kernel images:
              image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.20-idepci
                   label=old

              image=/vmlinuz
              label=apt_install
              initrd=/initrd.img

              other=/dev/hda1
                   label=WinXP
This is my current lilo configuration.
MY current debian install is on /dev/hdb2
i am installing gentoo on /dev/hda6
Could someone please help me or post their lilo.conf(or grub.conf) so that i can dual boot these systems too.
thanks a ton.

Lightbulb solutioned through google

Ahoi rmanocha!
Well, as my taichi-teacher likes to say...
<< Be aware of what you ask - you may get an answer >>
Okay, it's not so hard to get this workin' but it's a bit tricky.
I google'd two interesting pages that will help you for sure but you have to read a "little bit"... It's always the same ( rtfm ;)
a)http://www.troubleshooters.com/linux/lilo.htm
b)http://home.planet.nl/~elst0093/motub/multboot.html

Best wishes,
