Question Lilo bootloader issue

I have tried and make by the instructions I found on web my custom Lilo bmp in gimp. Its nice one

But after I export it from gimp into bitmap and that with option: do not write color space information I get error

I copied new bitmap into /boot folder updated lilo.conf for new image and I run lilo and get warning:

Code:
Warning: Video adapter does not support VESA BIOS extensions needed for
display of 256 colors. Boot loader will fall back to TEXT only operation.
Can someone tell me what this warning mean ?
I didnt yet tried to boot with this bitmap because basically this warning say that it will not use bmp but text mode.

What I should add to lilo.conf to get over this warning ?
Thx in advance

Is there any reason you need to use LILO? In wheezy, the default boot loader (for i386 and amd64 architectures anyway) is grub-pc, which is much more modern.

Yeap there is reason to use Linux Loader: I'm making new one I mean LinuxLoader is much prettier than grub tahts one reason. second I use new updated 23.2 version of lilo.
There is no issue anymore I mean I succeed in installing a lilo with my self made beautiful picture
Now it look just awesome I think I could mark thread as solved or wait for someone to tell me what that warning mean ?

Your video card has a ROM on it, which programs can call to set video modes. VESA is a standard.
Memory escapes me as to which mode no. is the first one that has 256 colours, but anyway, your card is obviously not compliant, i.e. LILO is trying to set a mode that your card doesn't have.
That's why it's using text mode.
