lilo : boot.b
I had to install the kernel of the cdrom red hat
to have my new computer run linux. When launching /sbin/lilo, I get : Fatal: open /boot/boot.b: No such file or directory How do I create (or have it created) this file? I guess it must fit my environment, my lilo version , etc... 'locate lilo' gives me : /etc/lilo.conf.anaconda /etc/lilo.conf /usr/bin/keytab-lilo /usr/share/doc/lilo-21.4.4 [...] /usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/kcmlilo.mo /usr/share/man/man5/lilo.conf.5.gz /usr/share/man/man8/lilo.8.gz /usr/share/man/fr/man5/lilo.conf.5.gz /usr/share/man/fr/man8/lilo.8.gz /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/elilocfg.py /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/elilocfg.pyc /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/lilo.py /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/lilo.pyc /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/lilocfg.py /usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/lilocfg.pyc /usr/share/vim/vim61/syntax/lilo.vim /sbin/lilo I used to have some others on my right installed Mandrake... I suspect lilo isn't really installed. thanks |
"I suspect lilo isn't really installed."
my friend, i share your fears..... :D check "rpm -qa | grep lilo" to see if it's installed, boot.b should come with the lilo package, as do the lilo binaries, which aren't in your listing there, but you did edit it... |
