Lightweight anonymous message board?

Any suggestions for a simple lightweight message board, PHP or Python. Doesn't need to be anything complex, only need be anonymous users no need even for user accounts.

Status.net used to be one of my faves.
Seems they've 'changed' ... https://gnu.io/social/

My LUG uses phpBB for its forums.

Wonder if one of the old bulletin boards would work?

Spitfire still seems to show signs of availability, though I'm not sure what you would run it on, as it was a DOS program.

My favorite was PCBoard. Clark Development imploded in spectacular fashion as the bottom fell out of BBSing in the mid-90s, but there is a PCBoard presence on, of all places, Sourceforge, though it hasn't been updated in a decade.

That brings back memories. At one time, I managed to convince my employer to allow me to run a PCBoard BBS on OS/2 Warp for our department.

FluxBB is a php based forum. You can configure it to permit guest based posts. The admin can track ips though.
It still requires a name when posting, but they can make up whatever.

Same with phpBB. You can make it support only guest based posts. It is updated frequently with bug and security fixes as well as new versions.

Some concern about the future of FluxBB, it seems to be getting depricated in favour of something called Flarum.
