licq problems

Hi,

I'm experiencing some problems with my LICQ.

I've installed LICQ for redhat 6.1 on my redhat 7.0

when I go online, it says that it found the ICQ server, but when it looks for sockets, it keeps timing out.

does this sound like anything anyone could help me with?

thanks for your time
