Unhappy librpm-4.1.so

ARGGGGGGGG
I can no longer run apt due to an error that comes up.. it says "error while loading shared libraries: librpm-4.1.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
So I reinstalled rpm and I still get the same message.

What I am doing wrong?

thanks
