LibreOffice forgetting recent documents

My LibreOffice has started to forget "recently opened" documents.

It will remember them for several sessions, then, when I open it, the list is empty. Rinse and repeat.

Rebooting seems to have nothing to do with it.

Sometimes it happens after a reboot. Sometimes it just happens after shutting down and restarting LO without rebooting or logging out. (I seldom logout or shutdown unless forced to by an update or by Pulse Audio fail--current uptime is almost four days.)

I do not consider this a serious problem, but I am curious as to whether anyone else has encountered it.

This has started within the last two weeks, and, so far as I know, there have been no changes to my LibreOffice since I installed the current release several months ago.

LibreOffice 3.3.0, OOO330m19 (Build:6), tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4

Edit: This is on my Dell 1545n with Ubuntu 10.10.

I check at writer and calc, and there is stuff in the recent files.

There is LibreOffice 3.3.1 out there, you could check it out. Here is my version on openSUSE 11.4:

LibreOffice 3.3.1
OOO330m19 (Build:8)
tag libreoffice-3.3.1.2

Some thoughts...

-flushing the folder "~/.libreoffice"
It could be some corruption there. But this is not good to do if you spent a long time editing the settings. You should check in a freshly created user account to test if it occurs.

-It sounds as if the list of recent files was saved to something like /tmp, which is getting flushed at reboot. But it should be saved inside /home, hopefully, and that should be more permanent!

Thanks for the comeback.

As I mentioned, it seems to be unrelated to reboots. It happened today with no reboot in the equation.

I have a couple of templates in ~/.libreoffice/3/user/template that I spent lots of time on, but they are already backed up thanks to rsync.

I just looked at ~/.libreoffice in MC and could not find anything that looked like a recently used files list; if it's there, it is well obscured.

There doesn't seem to be anything in /tmp related to LO.

I'll try upgrading when I get a chance (it might not be until Monday). If that doesn't help, I'll try blowing away the dot-libreoffice directory, re-importing my templates, and report back.

This occurs only intermittently with no obvious pattern. I hate intermittent problems.

So far, LO 3.3.2 has remembered recent documents. Even though it's only been a couple of days, it has outperformed the previous version.
