LibreOffice 3: problem with slides format

Using Debian Squeeze
Using LibreOffice 3 Impress

I am using Impress to read a file I downloaded. Some of the slides are out. One of the slides has the text size that is a lot larger than the others and so the text at the bottom is cut off. The slides also have a purple background and it doesn't cover the text all the way to the bottom on some of the slides. I would appreciate any help in fixing this. I want to correct this and them export as a pdf to save.

Thanks

I am assuming that it is a Windows power point pps
do you have the MS windows truetype fonts installed

install them or change the font used in the pps
