libdvdcss now installed movies still don't play

I have managed to install libdvdcss but Totem movie player still won't play encrpted dvd's. Is there something else I need to do . libdvdcsss has been installed in usr/local/lib. Any help much appreciated.

You probably need to install libdvdcss to prefix /usr rather than /usr/local. If installing from source use

Code:

./configure --prefix=/usr

then make, make install

Thanks for your reply.
It still doesn't work, Non encrpted dvd's play fine but Gladiator for instances causes the program to crash with a fatal error. Others simply say can't read the disk. Any other ideas?

did u tell totem where the libs are? the path i mean, in the configuration??

I am using Totem which I believe is based on Xine.
