Unhappy libc.so.6 & glibc

can anyone here be of some help to demonstrate/solve the followed problem?

I install a software with script file;

when run, I got the message like this:

" / (software dir) / (application) : relocation error: /(software dir)/lib/libxxx.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference.

Then the application stopped.

Note: words in braces only indicate the directory the software were installed and the application itself.

I guess there's something wrong with the links of library but don't know the details.

Thanks.

hi
i think that program is broken for new user space kernel headers.

it might still run if you open a terminal emulator and type
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.0
then start it from that same terminal
????????
if that doesn't work try hacking the source code to use
#include <errno.h>

instead of
extern int errno;

or of course just try latest version of program
