Unhappy lftp-client can't see folders/files on a wsftp server

Hi all,

one of our costumer will connect to our Windows WSFTP6 server via VPN with a LFTP-client. He runs the client on a Solaris 9 system via a squid-Proxy. He can connect, navigate and copy files, but he can't see any folders or files, also his files he just copy on the server in his home directory. When I connect with an other windows FTP-Client I can see all folders and files.
Is there an option or command in the lftp client, to use the windows view when connected to the WSFTP server? I cant check this because I have not a Linux client.

Thanks for your help

Sebastian

You can read all about the lftp command on the lftp man page right here at LinuxQuestions.

The only thing I can think of is permissions. Maybe the username he's using doesn't have permission to see the files.

Hi Ken,

thank you for the link. It can't be permissions problems because when I tried it from a windows client with the same account I have no problems. I gave him admin rights but have no luck with that. Any other ideas?

Thanks
Sebastian

I'm not familiar with WS_FTP, but looking at the IPSWITCH website, it looks like the server supports SSH. Did the Linux user exchange an SSH key?

That site also has some help, a knowledge base and even a small forum.

Hi Ken,

we use a vpn tunnel, not SSH, so we have no trouble with that. I opened a call by ipswitch and posted a thread at the forum and read the knowledge base, but they all can't help me.
Thanks
Sebastian
