lftp
I'm trying to connect to ftp server over SSL/TLS.
Why do I get the error message when I try to 'ls'.
`ls` at 0 [Delaying before reconnect: 10]

Hi mikeshn,
You are not getting connected to the server because you have not logged in properly, that was why it responded saying that the usage of login command that you did is wrong and was : -
Quote:
lftp ftp.server.com:~> login -u mer44 -p 74974845C807AE17BA13A
Usage: login userid [pass]
|
May I know what you tried to do by the login command as above?
If it is the password that you wanted to give then, you should do it as follows : -
Quote:
|
lftp ftp.server.com:~> login username password
|

lftp ftp.server.com:~> ls
---- Connecting to ftp.server.com (**.**.**.**) port 21
**** Socket error (Connection refused) - reconnecting
---- Closing control socket

Hi mikeshn,
Port 21 is the FTP server's standard command port. The port number 990 that you specify is your, i.e., the client side port number.
Where you able to login properly?

Theorist
