I installed the RPM off the mandrake CD, modified the config file properly, and restarted xinetd. I can get a group listing when I connect on the local machine (using KNode). But I cannot access it from my other computer on the network (using XNews). When I try to get the list of groups in XNews I get 10061 Connection refused. I've tried it both with and without the hosts.allow/hosts.deny stuff. I went through the FAQ at
http://www.leafnode.org/ and couldn't find any issues. I did the telnet on both the local machine and from the remote machine and it works from both. Could there be something wrong with XNews that isn't allowing it to work? Although to me, Connection refused means the server is not letting xnews connect. Any suggestions? thanks.
