Latex compiler under 64 bit SUSE 9.2?

Anyone knows how can I get a latex compiler for the above operatin system?
No "tex" compiler is on the 64 bit SUSE 9.2 DVD and none is available when I make an online update between the patches.
Am I missing something?
Thank you,
Octavian

Latex should be included on the DVD. I have the 9.2 64 bit Pro edition on my laptop, but it should be included in the download. Look for a package containing the name 'tetex'. The te_latex package will contain documentation for latex. Also, there is an IDE program called KILE that you might be interested in. Using yast, you should be able to find these packages.

I tried tetex and could not find it on the CD either.

Here is a link to the TeTex source. You could install it that way.
