Latex


Hello,

I want to use latex on my linux system, so what may I install.
I use debian 3.1.

I use teTeX on my machine, you should be able to find a Debian package for it (but I don't use Debian).

I think you want: apt-get install tetex-bin

Kile's a good editor. Alas, I can't give you links since I haven't made more than 5 posts, but a search on google for "kile latex debian stable" throws up some seemingly reliable sources. The most recent is still "unstable", but the one I've got on my box (1.7.1) does everything I need it to. I think the newest version is 1.8.1. Hope this helps.
