Language, and travels apps for linux?


I would be greatly appreciative if the readers of this thread recommend me the best of three types of linux apps they know of:

1) A language translation application

2) A world time zone conversion application

3) Some sort of map application for travel, with some sort of map database

Thank you for your recommendations.

1. jdictionary may be worth a try. there are libraries for several languages available. which languages do u need?
