lan stations traffic statistics
 

So here is the problem:

I need a tool on a linux box( Slackware 9.0,) that looks from time to time to traffic, logs that traffic accordingly to source ip( lan stations), destination ip, put this data in a database and generate some statiscs about this. If iptraf could do all this it would be great. :) I tried ipac( its description fits best to my needs) it didn't work, and I am in doubt because I'm not sure if it works with 2.4.x kernel( I found some comments about this) So if you could use ipac or have another solution to my problem, please let me know.
