Lacie 4L Lightscribe for linux cancel's itself

I run fedora core 6 and my problem is that using an internal HP dvd840 I try to use lightscribe for linux and I have wasted about 10 discs trying to get this to work. First one burned fine, but now the rest have been canceling themselves and leaving me with half lightscribed discs. I have tried both 4L-gui and 4L-cli, both give no errors but cancel before finishing. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? Is there some setting for SELinux that I don't know about that affects burning?
