labels for screen sessions

Is there any way to give a screen session a meaningful label instead of being assigned random arbitrary numbers?

This reminds me of the whole "Linux for human beings" idea.

Why should we have to remember arbitrary random numbers each time we start a screen session?
It seems insane that it's not possible to supply a label to the screen command when creating a screen session, list the sessions by label, and resume a session by label?

I'm not complaining. It just seems a little bit 1980's

Remember a lot of these utilities have been around just as long, and as the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

As well, some of us may find a short sequence of numbers easier to deal with than a meaningful, longer name. Some of us just have a problem with coming up with names, period.

Doesn't mean anything. I started computing in the 80s, but I was still a child, so that doesn't necessarily make you old.

Oh wait... I used to call men in their 30s old... nevermind...
