Kwrite/Kate: how to move one sentence back or forward in text?
Hello. Is there a way to move to the beginning or end of a sentence while editing a text in the KDE text editors such as Kwrite and Kate? I mean something similar to what Meta-A/Meta-E does in Emacs. Thank you very much.
Yes, I know that, but these keys move the cursor to the beginning/end of a line. What I want is to move to the beginning/end of a sentence, i.e. either to the dot which marks the end of a sentence or to the capital letter which marks the beginning of another sentence.
Oh, Ok, I see what you are saying. Press the respective button twice. That is, the first time you press [Home] the cursor will jump to the beginning of the line, press again and it jumps to the beginning of the sentence.
Well, in my case, this moves the cursor to the beginning/end of a paragraph, not a sentence. But thanks anyway, I didn't know about this one. I'll definitely use it.
