Kwrite's Xs in the margin

I have always noticed that KWrite fills the margins of every line but the first line in a paragraph with Xs, bring every line flush with the indentation of the first line. Can I make itleave the Xs out? I don't want them.

The only cure I know or have been able to find is to turn off "Dynamic Word Wrap" (F10); however, I suspect that that cure is worse than the "disease".

What (unsuccessful) searches have you already done?

I'd say "RTFM", but I think the "FM" is woefully out of date -- mine is "Revision 2.00.00 (2001-06-13)" . . . (It doesn't even mention the View menu.)

What are your versions of:
  • KDE
  • KWrite
  • The KWrite Handbook

Sorry this isn't more helpful.
