kubuntu and vector linux dual boot probs

i downloaded kubuntu 5.10 and installed it

i installed the lilo of kubuntu on the same partition wher ei installed kubuntu

i made enteries for kubuntu in the lilo.conf of the other distribution which is vector linux

then i rebooted for the first time into kubuntu..the kernel has synchronised

however after this the initrd image is supposed to give control to the kernel and normal booting starts instead it gives me a '#' and says tty not allowed

what to do please help

maybe something at the entries is wrong, maybe you didn't make the drive bootable?

Please try though to re-install lilo and make sure it's at the MBR of the first disk.
