Krashing Konqueror

"the application Konqueror crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

this keeps on happening. just shuts down without warning.

also: Mozilla won't open (get an hour glass for a few secs then nothing), and Galeon opens screen after screen without stopping (have to kill it)

why??

(I have suse 8.2, these are the preinstalled web browsers that I have tried, have also downloaded Firebird which just stops suddenly too although more reliable than above)

any thoughts??
thanks

update to above

Have reinstalled the system with still the same problems.

I installed some more RAM and some system updates, could they be the cause of the probs??

Is is worth trying the new version of KDE?(3.1.4)

I'm not sure that it's even KDE that's the problem??

Please could someone proffer some advice or an opinion.

Thanks.

I SOLVED THIS PROBLEMMMM YEHEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, no crushing, tip when installing MDK 9.1, choose mininal packages, then if finish then, go to add new pakages, click KDE, all will be selected, wala no more crashing.......

oakley 11-12-2003 07:24 PM

uppppsss i almost forgot, the bios i set it in load default setting, i when last time i install MDK i made some changes in my bios, thus it also took me to install MDK 9.1
