Kopete Help


This must be the ultimate n00b question. I want Kopete to automatically open a chat window when someone sends a message to me. How can I set that? This view ignore chat bubble thing is driving me frikin nuts. Thanks in advance.

Under Settings --> Preferences --> Behavior then in the chat tab it has an option to raise windows on event or not. This should do it.

That causes it to raise the window to the front every time you receive a message. I'm not sure that's what he wants. I think he just wants the window to appear instantly when he gets a new message, rather than being a little bubble near the taskbar.

the original poster may have already figured it out, but just turn off the message queue in the settings.
