Kopete crashing at exit

Everytime I right-click Kopete in the System Tray in SuSE 9.3 and click "Quit", I get this error message:

"The application Kopete (kopete) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

I'd post a screenshot, but I can't post links yet

I installed SuSE friday night, so I didn't mess with it yet, so I have no idea why this is happening.

I think I checked for updates today, but found nothing. I don't even know how to install/uninstall programs yet, otherwise I would either install GAIM or reinstall Kopete.

if ou are using cd version..

if ou are using cd version from yast select install remove packages.. then search your packages..
there is a default gaim package on suse 9.3 cd.
if you are not using cd version and installed from ftp, download suse rpm from gaim website or pacmans rpm site (i couldnt remember the url search it on froum).

There's a post on the SuSE forums here. Not sure if that will help or not, but it worked for me.

Yeah, I have the 5 CD set.

Ok, so once I log into YaST, I go Install/Remove packages> Filter> Selection> and then what? I'm currently in Windows, but I'm just asking so that I don't have to later

EDIT: They said it fixed it when they deleted the user. Is that like deleting the user account in Windows?

Forgive my questions, but I'm new to Linux

kopete is not a single package. it comes kde packages dont try to delete or reinstall it if you are newbei. Just install gaim it will work fine...
deletion of your user account in kopete...
delete it and retype it agaim after a restart of kopete...
it may be fix your problem..

Got it. Gaim looks and functions just like the regular AIM, except without spyware, lol.
