Konsole (BASH) prompt effects

Hey guys,

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for the question (it seemed like the best one).
I usually prefer to look for the answers in previous posts or google them, but I've been searching for a way to do this for quite a while and couldn't find anything, so here goes:

A year or two ago, while looking at KDE screenshots, I saw a screeny with an open Konsole terminal window. In that window, there was a bash prompt that had a sort of "fade" effect, something that can't really be done with ANSI. The beginning of the prompt was slightly "smudged" off the screen - it actually looked really nice, and if that's possible there are probably lots of really nice things you could do with this and similar effects in the bash prompt.

Now, all I found is ways to edit .bashrc in order to achieve different colours to the prompt, add a clock, etc. etc. That's not what I'm looking for.

I stumbled upon bashish in my searches, but after tinkering with it I basically found that it's just a complicated tool to automatically manipulate .bashrc (or at least the results just seem like very complex versions of things you can achieve through .bashrc manipulation). So that's not good either.

If anyone knows how to do what I'm talking about, I would much appreciate to be pointed to an application, tutorial, howto, or whatever. :)

Thanks so much!

Do you have a screen shot of what you are talking about?

I'm guessing this is a special effect of kde's konsole rather than one for the terminal command prompt in general. As such I would look in the konsole configuration(Settings>Configure Konsole), perhaps in one of the various schemas available.
